I am amongst the large female population lusting after the monogrammed burberry blanket cape seen on Olivia Palermo, Rosie H-W and cray girl Cara D to name a few. Aside from the gorgeous colour palette and the acceptability to wear a blanket outside the house (how ideal?), this cape comes in at a cool £895….eeeeek. So of course the hunt for an affordable lookalike was on, and boy did eBay step up! They actually offer a monogrammed version so you really can rock the burberry look with your own initials, but I went for the standard blanket version as I feel its a bit more wearable and less “Here I am in a (fake) burberry cape!”
I have also been after the perfect shirt dress, and when I spotted this toppers number, I didn’t have to think twice. It is a little pricey, but the quality is beautiful and the material doesn’t crease which is sooo okay with me, not a big ironer and means you don’t get those weird creases over your upper thighs that look a little odd.
Finally, the knee high boots of dreams. I am quite tall for a girl at 5″9 and as much as I enjoy a heel every now and then, flat boots for me are much more wearable and means I still feel little next to the boyf! These pair are from H&M. They offer half sizes which is so handy and have an elasticated back so they stretch to fit the size of your legs. I was unsure of how much I would wear these, but they look so good with skirts and dresses with just enough leg out to break up the look but not enough that you feel cold. Again, H&M can do no wrong.
